"My wife and I have been to Barbados for holidays over twenty times since the mid-seventies. We love the west coast, particularly the area around Holetown. This was our first time at the Art Studio Apartments #5 and we were there for almost 4 weeks in March/April of 2009. This unit is just a moment away from the beach with easy walking and snorkeling to both the north and south. Some of the owners were there during our stay and are great company. If you are looking for a very low-key, relaxing holiday this is the place. We will definitely return to Steve & Marion's wonderful space." Frank & Gail

Lush Tropical Gardens, Next to Beach

Our apartment is one of a small group of individually owned apartments just a short distance north of Holetown and within a 30-second stroll, through magnificent gardens, of the famed "platinum" west coast beaches of the island. Well-equipped and comfortable, this studio is great for self-catering but still close enough to the many Holetown restaurants to make eating out an easy option. If you like to keep active, water sports, tennis and golf are within easy reach, or for those who prefer a more leisurely pace the numerous beaches, all open to the public, provide a taste of paradise. Hot sun, sea breezes and frequent dips in a warm and friendly sea – what could be better?

Three two-story buildings house the 12 studio apartments, set amid lush tropical gardens of bougainvillea, hibiscus, breadfruit trees, banana trees, frangipani and many others. Humming birds flit around the flowers, and mongooses are often to be seen scuttling along the paths. There are occasional visits by a family of green monkeys that live close by but, as with the mongoose, they are shy and easily scared away.
